Lore & Culture

In essence, cherubs do not grow or breed like other Pae, but are instead manifestations of Dolandor’s divine energy. They form in response to love and joy, and exist as long as those emotions sustain them.

Cherubs are often seen as joyful and mischievous, with a charm that makes them beloved companions, performers, and attendants. However, they are not bound to servitude. Many cherubs willingly serve within Venus’ court, taking up roles as maids, butlers, messengers, DJs, and event organizers—especially during grand celebrations like the annual Valentine’s Festival in Las Venus.

Others follow their own paths, becoming musicians, poets, or even wandering matchmakers who travel beyond Dolandor to spread joy and passion.

Despite their small, childlike appearance, cherubs are not naïve. They possess a wisdom beyond their looks, and while often playful, they can be deeply philosophical about love, life, and purpose.

Cherubs do not reproduce like normal Pae. Instead, when a cherub and a Pae share a deep platonic bond—pure friendship and joy—a new cherub may manifest in Dolandor as a result of their connection.
