General Information

Species Name: Moff

Origin: Moffs are native to the vibrant, floating meadows of Telrunya. They are closely attuned to the natural rhythms of their environment and are known for their playful, curious nature. Despite their small size, Moffs are resilient and resourceful, often acting as messengers, healers, or companions to other Pae species.

Physical Traits

Height: 1-2 feet tall.
Build: Round, fluffy bodies covered in soft, downy fur.
Wings: Small, delicate moth-like wings, often shimmering with vibrant colors or patterns.
Eyes: Large, expressive, and reflective, allowing excellent vision even in low light.

Breeding Information

General Rules:

Moffs are monogamous and form deep emotional bonds with their chosen mates.
Moffs lay clutches of 3–5 eggs, which are carefully tended to by both parents and the colony.
Moffs can only breed during the Blooming Season, a period of heightened magic when flowers are in full bloom.

Breeding Rituals:

The courtship ritual involves a dance performed mid-air, with their wings shimmering in patterns unique to each Moff.
After a successful courtship, the pair weaves a soft cocoon-like nest out of silk, where the eggs will be laid and nurtured.

Egg Development:

Eggs hatch after about two months, producing tiny, fluff-covered Mofflings.
Mofflings are initially wingless and develop their wings after their first molting, about three weeks after hatching.

Unique Traits:

Wing patterns and glow color are inherited traits, creating a wide variety of unique appearances among Moffs.
Moffs born during rare magical events may develop additional abilities, such as enhanced glows or stronger healing pollen.
