Main Abilities
  • Each Pae receives one player selected and staff approved power.
Racial Abilities

Child:

  • Wind Shield - a shield made of wind that provides minor protection. [Limit: 5x per day]

Teenager:

  • Wind Shield - stronger, harder to spot, magic damage will disperse it, absorbing all force from one opponent's hit per shield. Replaces Child's Wind Shield. [Limit: 5]
  • Stormcall - air currents collapse, causing violent localized bursts. These bursts can deal damage, shatter shields, throw enemies, or knock flying opponents from the sky. [Limit: 5]

Adult:

  • Wind Shield - stronger, harder to spot, magic damage will disperse it, absorbing all force from one opponent's hit per shield. Replaces Teen's Wind Shield. [Limit: 5]
  • Stormcall - air currents collapse, causing violent localized bursts. These bursts can deal damage, shatter shields, throw enemies, or knock flying opponents from the sky. [Limit: 5]
  • Anchor - the Sila can 'claim' a space around them and make it stable. Inside this space the wind calms, allies become harder to move, enemies become rooted, and projectiles drift off course.
Weaknesses

Taint Their hollow bones mean they're prone to injury and blowing away by strong winds

Reproduction

  • Method: Intercourse
  • Gestation Period: One season
  • Average Number of Offspring: 2-4
  • Parental Care: Newborns are given an egg of a Cloudstrider as soon as they are born. This is necessary for their development as well as their ability to keep from blowing away. Most parents are equipped with tools to keep their lighter than air child attached to them when they go out until the Cloudstrider is big enough to hold them down on their own.

Diet

  • Primary Food Sources: Omnivores
  • Hunting/Gathering Methods: Most of their food is produced by farmers and ranchers- giving them a chance to shop for them at the markets. Though they do tend to enjoy hunts on the mountain side.

History

Their Origin
  • Tia laughed, and the winds carried it along. It caused a fourth of the bird life to become humanoid- becoming known as the Sila.
Historical Events
  • The Sila were the rulers of the air. They were the least understood of the Pae due to their fascination for the skies which kept them withdrawn from the others. This led to them being unwilling to help the other elementals when war broke out, but their leaders went anyways. A few brave souls attempted to help the Miaki secure a win against the Angels and Demons, but what happened instead was a senseless slaughter. As they watched the other Elements fall to the Angel & Demon's blades they sought shelter in the one place they could not reach- the mountain tops. In their urgency and fear they created a wind barrier that kept them in and others out.
  • The journey there was vicious. Due to their hollow bones and tendency to be blown about, they found that living in the barren mountain tops was not easy for them. If it wasn't for the creatures they named the Cloudstriders, they wouldn't have survived their time there. Through their hardship and dependance are their new partners, a special bound was created with them that continues to this day in each of them.
  • As their society grew, ideas on how to thrive in such a place became heated. Soon there was a clear division between the two parties - splitting their society down and sending them to their own floating pieces of land to grow. It was quiet for awhile until land and resources became scarce. What ensued from there was the war they had fled from from the start. Now their warring societies only knew bloodshed.
Interactions with other Species
  • None. They have sealed off their new homeland. Some older Pae may remember their old allies and enemies, but the overall societies only focus on themselves and what's right in front of them.
